Hi All from the Bulliner’s,
It has been quite a busy year, this fall especially! The kids keep us going in multiple directions. Abby continued with Occupational & Physical Therapy. Matthew officially has his driver’s license. We have been for the second year, in a homeschool co-op. Tom coached a Lego Mindstorms team in our home for three of our boys & four more from our homeschool group. Tom started a new position with General Dynamics this fall. He is now a Project Manager, a position that he enjoys and keeps him very busy! Tom & I continue to enjoy the bountiful blessings of our children as they grow.
Matthew Bulliner’s:
This year has been pretty busy, well at least some parts of it have been. Earlier this year I did drivers training and I have now completed all the requirements to get my drivers license. Another thing I am doing, besides for school, is basketball. It is quite fun and we have had a couple of games so far. Now with Christmas coming on I still have to finish my shopping. Elisabeth and Mom have been making a good deal of cookies and treats (sometimes it is nice to have a sister.) Well, hope to see you all soon.
Abby Bulliner’s:
Abby is now five (12/31)! She is happy and very busy. She loves to get
into everyone’s stuff! Abby keeps a stash under the stove, so if we can’t find something, we know where to look. She does sign language, says some words, knows her colors, many ABC’s, and with help, says prayer’s at bedtime. In the summer she enjoys being bounced on the trampoline. This winter she has really discovered that she likes snow and now keeps her mittens on! (A relief to mom!) She continues to be a blessing to us!
Elisabeth Bulliner’s:
Hi everyone! What have you been up to this year? This spring I was in a science fair, I did mine about fossils. Summer vacation was to short. But during our short summer vacation we went camping, and Michael & I did a gymnastics class and I passed! Then school started and so did Lego Mindstorms, there were meetings twice a week. I got to help make the handouts; we made stickers and passed out candy. I had fun! Christmas break, at last. It has been so busy baking cookies, buying and wrapping gifts. I am having so much fun! See you soon.
Daniel Bulliner’s:
My name is Daniel. I went to a boaters safety class earlier this year, so that I would be allowed to go jet skiing on Higgins Lake on which both my dad’s brother and sister have cabins on or near. Also, I went to something called Communicators for Christ, CFC for short, at CFC my brothers and I learned how to debate, and how to speak better. I am also taking a speech and debate class now, to learn more about these two valuable skills. With one of my older brothers and a younger one, we did another thing called First Lego League, FLL for short, in FLL we build robots out of Lego’s, solve a real life problem, this time the problem was about power.
Christopher Bulliner’s:
This year some of us went to a speech and debate conference. There they taught us logical reasoning by showing us illogical reasoning. I thought that the illogical dialog was pretty humorous. It went something like this:
I’m bored.
Me too.
What should we do?
We could go out and paint Christmas trees pink.
No we can’t!
Why not?
Because if we painted Christmas trees pink people would buy less Christmas trees. And if they buy less Christmas trees Christmas Spirit would decrease. And if Christmas Spirit decreases more people will be unhappy. And if more people are unhappy there will be discontentment. And if there is discontentment there will be more wars. And if there are more wars there is a better chance of nuclear war. And nuclear war could end the world as we know it. So if you want to risk the end of the world go ahead, paint Christmas trees pink.
Nathan Bulliner’s:
Nathan likes telling people he is two, but can’t wait to be three. He is sometimes bossy, but still loves and takes care of Abby. His favorite things to play with are trains and cars. His favorite “choo-choo” is James. His favorite color is red. He really likes the snow and enjoys going outside to play.
Michael Bulliner’s :
Hello my name is Michael and I am eight. My favorite color is green. My favorite thing this year was baseball. I like first base, pitcher, batting, running the bases, and I liked the practices. My second favorite thing was gymnastics. My favorite thing in gymnastics was the bars. My favorite thing in the winter is sledding.
Hi, I’m James Bulliner
I’m ten. Last summer, my coach pitch baseball team, Goodrich Supermarket, was the division champions. (Michael was also on the team). The boys (minus Nathan) and Dad went camping at Ludington State Park. The highlight for me was looking down from the lighthouse. This fall I was a member of the Lego Mindstorms team called the Electro
Marines. I learned about programming and alternate energy sources like wind turbines, solar panels, and fuel cells. Fuel cells split water into hydrogen and oxygen then put them back together to make energy. This winter I’m having fun sledding and making igloos (when we have snow!).
God’s blessings to each of you for the coming year! With love, Tom, Anne Matthew, Chris, Daniel, Elisabeth, James, Michael, Abby, & Nathan
